Life is all about people, moments & emotions that we want to hold on to..
as if they just happened. But time tricks our mind and memories get blurry.
That's why I got into photography. I needed a way to save all the beautiful days, trips and moments that I spent with the people I love.
My mission is to share this precious gift with others. To help you preserve your legacy and share all those beautiful memories and stories with the new generation. Showing how it all started and how life was in the past. Trust me, these photos will be your dearest possessions.
Ilenia's Approach
I like to present myself as a storyteller, someone who tries to tell stories just through images, no words. My combined love for traveling and portraying different cultures, led my entire career. I always look for the most authentic story, without artifacts or embellishments. This is what my photos are meant to be, a fragment of history in the course of time.

I grew up in one of the most important photographic studios in Calabria where I spent most of my childhood. Even though time has gone by, if I close my eyes I can still hear the sound of the machines, I can still remember those mechanical gestures that my uncle made on a daily basis: the darkroom, the burnt negatives and the 36mm Kodak rolls.
I used to spend afternoons immersed in what once was known as analogue photography. I watched my uncle bring colors to life with a brush as I took my first shot in Cosenza with a Hasselblad 903, one of my first cameras.
I still remember the emotions I felt before pressing that button. Inside I knew that that moment would accompany me for the rest of my life and still today, in every single shot of mine, I always look for my uncle's eyes.
I am so afraid of time passing and how it makes things disappear that I chose the only work that would allow me to stop it somehow. As human beings, we are conservative by nature, and taking pictures means to crystallize memories into eternity.
